One legend says that once when Lord Shiva opened His eyes after a long period of yogic meditation, he felt sense of extreme fulfillment. It made him shed a tear. This single tear from Shiva’s eye grew into the Rudraksha tree. Since then they are called Shiva's eyes. Rudraksha beads are believed to promote inner peace, knowledge, power and enlightenment. These beads are small and considered rare.
